Exhibitions Launch: A Season of Play

QUAD’s Season of Play, taking place across our galleries, spans the Summer through to early Autumn, featuring a range of fun and thoughtful exhibitions, including a major gallery exhibition by Nottingham-based artist Bruce Asbestos, and a group show that examines Play During the Pandemic.
You are invited to join us for the launch evening at QUAD that will feature appearances by the artists, a drinks reception, welcome speeches and music!

Join us at QUAD as we launch our Season of Play exhibitions, including a fun and immersive exhibition by Bruce Asbestos in QUAD Gallery titled Eye of Newt 2.0 that looks at good mental health and features a new digital game artwork.

In QUAD’s Extra Gallery Spaces we present Play During the Pandemic with works by artists Bob Bicknell-Knight, Daniel Tebano, Kialy Tihngang and Matthew Tully. Also in the Extra Gallery spaces will be the Game Jam Bioscope – containing three bespoke video game artworks by Seema Mattu, Nuka Nayu and Kinnari Saraiya.

And outside of QUAD you will find Paul Broesmith’s Derby CAN project Ancestories – a cave-like experience situated in a caravan.

Tickets are free, but spaces will be very limited. Refreshments will be provided, with speeches launching the exhibitions and DJ’s playing throughout the night in QUAD’s Café Bar.

6:30pm – 8:30pm.
