Derby Ram Trail

27th May 2021 - 22nd August 2021 FREE

Due to Covid-19 social distancing measures, the delivery of the Derby Ram Trail has been delayed. We look forward to bringing this fantastic event to our city streets on 27 May – 22 August 2021.

Derby's Public Sculpture Trail

Welcome to the Derby Ram Trail; a spectacular free discovery trail coming to Derby in the spring/summer of 2021.

On 27 May – 22 August 2021, a flock of fabulously colourful and unique rams will take you on a trail around the beautiful city of Derby.

Our ram sculpture is based on the mythical Derby Ram from the 18th Century song, which according to legend was ten yards high with enormous horns and a huge flowing fleece. We invite you to take a moment to enjoy a collaborative re-telling of the poem here. The story tells how people from all over came to see the huge Derby Ram, and we are excited that people will once again flock to Derby.

The Derby Ram Trail is brought to you by Derby Museums, together with Wild in Art and Presenting Partner, Cathedral Quarter Business Improvement District (BID). Wild in Art is a leading producer of creative events that transform places into free, family-friendly outdoor art galleries.
