Whether you've got a head for heights, you're feeling adventurous or you're looking to challenge yourself, our Derby Cathedral Abseil is guaranteed to get the heart racing and the adrenaline flowing.
Harness up on Saturday 19 October and take on this fantastic challenge, which will give you views of Derby like never before - while seeing you help our children, young people and families.
This fantastic abseilling event will require you to walk up the 189 steps of the second highest cathedral tower in the country. Once at the top of the historic tower, you’ll step over the edge and abseil the 212ft back to the ground – giving you an adrenaline rush like no other. We’re certain when your feet touch the ground again, you’ll want to have another go.
Our Derby Cathedral Abseil is available from 8.30am until 5.30pm on the day, and you’ll be asked your preferred time slot when booking. Interested in taking part in this fantastic challenge event? Sign up today!

I indemnify Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, Derby Cathedral and Pennine Outdoor Pursuits against any damage, costs, liability or claim arising from my *(own / son’s / daughter’s) participation in the event. I confirm that *(I / my son / my daughter) is in good health, will be aged 12 or over on the 19 October 2019 and sufficiently able bodied to undertake this event. I am aware that the Organisers have taken all reasonable precautions and I agree to observe the directions of the Controllers. I accept that the responsibility for deciding to undertake any abseil permitted by the Controllers is mine and I am responsible for ensuring the observance of the safety rules.
