A Spotter's Walk in Derby with John Wright - Part of Derby Book Festival

The Derby College Takeover is sponsored by Darwin Escapes

The countryside is more than just a pretty place to take a walk. Beauty and profound interest can be found in both the grand scheme of the landscape and its small (and sometimes tiny) details. We see so many things for which the response is, 'What on earth is that?'

On this walk, John Wright, author of The Spotter's Guide to Countryside Mysteries, will describe and explain such things as bracket and rust fungi, plant galls, the growth forms of trees and more. It is not the devil that lies in the detail, but the joy of understanding.

John will also be speaking earlier in the day. Find out more about his talk here: John Wright: A Spotter’s Guide to Countryside Mysteries.
