After an action packed day of activities, a good night’s sleep is very important! Mount Cook Adventure Centre offers modern en-suite accommodation for up to 180 guests, set against the backdrop of the stunning Derbyshire countryside, along with full catering and a licensed bar.

Put your feet up and relax in one of our Centre bedrooms, each offering fantastic views of the Derbyshire countryside from Riber Castle to Black Rocks. Or reconnect with nature and share an enjoyable Glamping experience – there are worse views to wake up to! Each bedroom and Glamping Pod sleeps up to 4 guests with an en-suite bathroom or toilet, complimentary bedding and free WIFI.

Hiking, cycling and rock climbing are just a few of the activities guests can enjoy whilst staying at Mount Cook. The pedestrianised High Peak Trail runs parallel to the Centre, with bike hire available at Middleton Top. Or why not book some exciting outdoor activities with Mount Cook? We require a minimum group size of 8, and the majority of our activities are suitable for children aged 6 and over. Our activities include:

If you can’t get a group of 8 together, don’t worry! We run a wide range of exciting events suitable for people of all ages throughout the year, which include flexible accommodation options, catering and exciting outdoor activities. Take a look at our Events here!.

To keep energy levels up during your stay, we offer a range of tasty home-cooked food including cooked and continental breakfast, packed lunch, two or three course evening meals, and a make-your-own-pizza evening! A licensed bar is also available in our glass-fronted Main Dining Hall offering a fine selection of bottled beers, wine and spirits. We use local suppliers where possible, providing you with delicious food and a range of refreshments, whilst supporting businesses within Derby, Derbyshire and the Peak District. All dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, halal, dairy and gluten-free, are easily catered for – simply let us know when making a booking!
