Following the Government’s recent announcement that Derby will be placed into Tier 4, we can confirm that all non-essential shops will be closed from Thursday 31 December. The Derby Centre will remain open for essential stores including pharmacies and supermarkets, selected brands operating a click and collect service, and restaurants, cafes and eateries offering takeaways.
There are a number of safety measures in place across the centre, with staff on standby to help manage footfall, the requirement to wear face coverings throughout, enhanced cleaning regimes across all visitor touch points, as well as hand sanitising stations.
Information on the safety and hygiene measures in-place at the centre, please visit www.derbycentre.co.uk.
Centrally located in the heart of the bustling city, Derby Centre is a vibrant hub of retail, leisure and dining facilities, home to some of the world’s biggest brands with a host of eateries and entertainment on offer.
Not only does the centre attract footfall from Derby’s affluent local communities, it also draws in significant numbers of tourists from surrounding areas throughout the year, thanks to its ideal location close to the Peak District.
Boasting a rich engineering and manufacturing heritage, with global giants Rolls Royce, Toyota and Bombardier on its doorstep, the centre attracts a professional workforce from across the country.
Home to Showcase Cinema de Lux, Hollywood Bowl and Paradise Island Adventure Golf, Derby Centre features one of the UK’s finest in-centre complexes of high-end leisure facilities.
These add to the centre’s varied offering of retail and dining options – including the likes of Zara, Topshop, Next, Typo, Wagamamas and Nandos – providing even more reasons for visitors to travel from further and stay with us for longer, throughout the day and into the evening.
