Royal Crown Derby can trace its history back to 1750 when the first porcelain was being made in Derby by Andrew Planche, and it remains one of the most iconic brands of fine bone china in England. Today the museum and factory are on the Osmaston Road where they have been since 1875 when the new factory was opened on the site of the old workhouse.
