Derby CAMRA Winter Ale Festival

Returning to the historic Roundhouse in February 2019 is the 15th Derby CAMRA Winter Ale Festival. Featuring over 400 cask ales, ciders, perries, bottled world beers and meads, we have among the best selections in the country. Also new to the festival this year is our Craft Keg Bar and a gin bar hosted by Blue Monkey Brewery.

We also have a wide variety of live entertainment, from one of the country's best Elvis impersonators to modern rock bands from Derby and beyond. Keep an eye on the Derby CAMRA Festival Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates.

Ticket Information

Only Adult Advance Tickets are available to purchase. Discounted tickets for CAMRA, Over 60s and Under 26s can only be purchased on arrival at Derby Roundhouse.

Advance tickets are available to purchase up until Sunday 17 February. You will need to collect your Advance Ticket from the Sales and Information Centre before 8pm on Tuesday 19 February.

Advance tickets for evening sessions guarantee entry before 8pm.

Getting There

The Roundhouse venue is part of the Derby College complex situated on the Eastern side of Derby Railway Station. Click here to open Google Maps Roundhouse.

Rail
If arriving by train use the Pride Park exit from the over-bridge.

Bus and Foot
Free Bus service will be provided from Derwent Street to outside the Roundhouse. Note the bus does not serve the bus station. Buses run every 30 minutes with the first and last shown below.
Wednesday: First bus 17:00; Last bus 22:00.
Thursday: First bus 12:00; Last bus 22:00.
Friday: First bus 12:00; Last bus 22:00.
Saturday: First bus 12:00; Last bus 22:00.
Note: Due to a football match, on Wednesday buses are likely to be diverted and may drop off on the London Road side of the Railway Station.

Arriva Route F1 also operates between the bus station the back of the Roundhouse. Alight at the Roundhouse Way stop. There is a short cut opposite the stop which takes you to the front of the Roundhouse.

Beer, Cider, Mead, Gin & Rum

Beer

This year we will feature bars from Blue Monkey, Blackstorm, Beer Metropolis (inc. Shiny) and Brass Castle.
There will also be a craft ales bar featuring some interesting tipples from keykeg to compliment those on the Beer Metropolis and Brass Castle Bars.

Entertainment

Wednesday 20th
Acoustica Classic Rock & Pop from 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's with a twist.
Transposition acoustic guitars and a cajon with songs from the 60's to the present day.

Thursday 21st
Elvis Tribute - Rik Gaynor and Dallas Roots Combo 4 piece rockin' combo influenced by rockabilly, blues, rock & roll, rhythm & blues and country.

Friday 22nd
Greg Maskalick & Friends jazz.
Indie Division a classic indie cover band doing great songs from the golden era - The Smiths, Stone Roses, Oasis, Shed Seven, Buzzcocks and many more.
MJ Hibbert & The Validators a mixture of topical, humorous, punky, folky indie in the vain of Hall Man Half Biscuit, the Wedding Present and Billy Bragg.

Saturday 23rd
The Foxgloves a talented trio of singers who recreate the blended sound of girl groups from the 1930's to 1960's.
Greg Maskalick & Friends jazz.
Ska Britannia a dynamic six piece Ska band covering Madness, Specials, Bad Manners, UB40, the Piranhas, the Kingsmaen and much more.
