Vocal ensemble Siglo de Oro present Allegri’s famous Miserere, in a concert of 17th-century music from Italy.

The first part of the concert is dedicated to Adriano Banchieri’s Carnival music, a riotous display of colorful celebratory music, featuring theorbo, violin, harpsichord and percussion. The second part is focused on penitential music, including Gregorio Allegri’s famous Miserere, with Baroque ornamentation.
