With the Derby Summer CAMRA City Charter Beer Festival nearly upon us, knowing what is the ideal beery tipple will surely make it easier for us to buy the right drink when we visit the Market Place in Derby where it’s taking place? So with that in mind, we at Visit Derby thought it was the perfect time to get the definitive answer.

So we sent Mark Saxby to ask the question, what makes the perfect real ale, to John Baddock, brewer at the Derventio Brewery in Derby, and settle the argument once and for all…
