Description: A weekend of celebrations will be sparked by the Olympic Torch Relay coming to Derby Market Place on Friday night before moving onto Darley Park! Games, live entertainment and live coverage from the BBC means Derby will be the best place to see the Olympic Torch.
Derby's party celebrations will continue over the weekend, including the famous Darley Park Classical Concert on the evening on Saturday 30 June.

Derby Well Dressing Festival - 29/06/2012 - 01/07/2012

Description: This unique Derbyshire tradition involves the creation of beautiful mosaics made out of flower petals, seeds and peppercorns set in a foundation of fresh clay. The design for 2012 will be a topical Olympic theme, so come along and join in on the fun!

The 'bad boys of abridgement' are back.
Just in time for the Olympic frenzy, and following a highly successful US tour and run in New York, the Reduced Shakespeare Company are back in the UK with the European premiere of their new show, The Complete World of Sports (abridged). The entire history of athletic competition is revisited in a marathon of madness and mayhem that sees the world's great sporting events shrunk down to theatrical size.
