An amazing transformation of the Council House happened in 2012, so here’s your chance to see how new life has been breathed into the original 1930s structure.
The tour lasts for 45 minutes to 1 hour and includes all the main public access areas including the impressive Council Chamber, Mayor’s Parlour & Civic areas, Display Gallery and discount voucher for the on-site Relish café.

- Wed 20 June at 11am (part of the Inspiring Derby week)
- Wed 31 October at 2pm (part of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Discovery Days week)
Scheduled public tours are free to Derby city residents (utility bill to be shown at point of booking please). Non-city residents will be charged £3 per adult.
Group tours can be arranged too on alternative dates dependent on availability of rooms and guides, so please let us know your requirements. There will be a minimum charge of £15 per group for these private tours to cover basic costs. Maximum group size will be 16 people and each ticket will cost £3 per person (if there are less than 5 people in a private group booking, the minimum £15 charge will be incurred to cover basic costs).
