Derby is a great place to base yourself for cycling adventures across the beautiful Peak District & Derbyshire and The National Forest. Not only is there great countryside on the doorstep, we have a great programme of après-bike too!
We have more pubs selling real ale than anywhere else in the UK and are not only the home of scores of micro-breweries, we also have two amazing ale events - the Summer Beer Festival held in July and the CAMRA Winter Ales Festival hosted in world's oldest Roundhouse in February. We also have a host of other festivals staged in the city each year.
Then there are our gastro delights such as our unique pig board and British tapas as well as a host of other foodstuffs to get your tastebuds working overtime.
And to make things even better for cyclists, stay in one of our Cyclists Welcome Hotels (and we've got some great deals for visitors from a little as £40 per night) and you can store your bike in your room or it will be stored safely for you. You can also get free overnight bike storage in the city centre's unique Park Bikeworks.
With the UK's newest velodrome, there are so many reasons to base yourself here!
