Real Ale Breaks

Real fun for real ale fans!

Derby is rightly known as 'The Real Ale Capital of The Midlands', but size for size, we're probably the best city for real ale in the country! With over 120 real ale pubs, several micro-breweries within the city, including The Brunswick, The Derby Brewing Company and The Falstaff and 2 CAMRA beer festivals each year, visitors are often overwhelmed by the choice on tap.

The compact layout of the city centre makes Derby the perfect destination for a Beer Trail. Drink the history in at the city's oldest pub - Ye Olde Dolphin dating back to 1530 and The Brunswick Inn - the first purpose built railway-workers' pub in the country.

Take your pick from these beer themed activities to make it a break to remember - or not as the case may be! CHEERS!
