Olympic Torch Relay Weekend in Derby

Mark the date in your diary to celebrate this once in a lifetime opportunity to welcome the Olympic Torch to Derby!

Derby will take centre stage with a spectacular weekend of celebrations, putting us firmly on the world map.  The torch will be arriving in Derby Market Place on Friday evening before moving on to Darley Park where the Celebration Cauldron will be lit followed by an exhilarating ceremony and stage show, which will be broadcast live on the BBC.

Derby's party celebrations will continue over the weekend, including the famous Darley Park Classical Concert on the evening on Saturday 30 June and live coverage on the Euro 2012 final on the Big Screen on Sunday 1 July.

There is also FREE PARKING available on Friday 29th June, including the Parksafe Car Park in Bold Lane and Westfield Derby!
