Step out and enjoy the city and surrounding countryside when Derby hosts its first ever Walking Festival.
Themes from the walks listed below reflect the citys unique history and character. Choose from cutting edge culture and world renowned art or get up close and personal with nature.
Don't miss the opportunity to get an insight into the International artists who will perform at Derby Festé. Enjoy a free walk with the Cathedral Quarter Rangers, before attending the festival.

Starting Point: Start and finish at Derby Moor Community Sports College on Moorway Lane, Littleover. DE23 7FS

Join members of Findern Footpaths Group for a walk to Findern and back, through farmland which enjoys panoramic views over Derby. This walk is over fields which may be very muddy and undulating, with several stiles. Refreshments available in Findern. Parking, children welcome.

Join Chellaston History Group for an evening stroll around the former Chellaston Brickworks and find out about the history and natural history of the area. The walk through the local nature reserve will be along muddy tracks and takes in sharp ascents and grass slopes. Parking, Children welcome.

Find out more about some of the interesting trees that can be found and learn the basics of tree identification. The walk will be on undulating parkland, which can be wet and muddy.
